“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!” 1 Chronicles 16:34
Living with gratitude is like always having a full cup; no matter how much you pour out, it will never be empty. Living with gratitude is a powerful practice that can bring joy and happiness into your life. One of the keys to living with gratitude is learning to be thankful for what you have rather than focusing on what you lack. This means cultivating a mindset of positivity and appreciation, even in difficult circumstances.
Ephesians 5:20 reminds us to “give thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” This verse encourages us to find reasons to be grateful in all situations, even when things are tough. By doing so, we can cultivate an attitude of gratitude that brings joy and fulfillment into our lives. In other words, gratitude is like wearing a pair of glasses that filter out negativity and allow you to see the good in everything.
Psalm 28:7 says, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song, I give thanks to God.”
Living with gratitude also involves recognizing the many blessings surrounding us daily. Each moment is a gift, and each day is so blessed; these words from 1 Chronicles 16:34 and Psalm 150:6 remind us to be grateful for the precious time we have been given. Every breath we take is a blessing, every heartbeat a miracle. Each day presents us with new opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with the world around us. Remember, gratitude can be the source of true joy and contentment in life – always choose to live with it.
As we wake up each morning, let us open our eyes wide to take in the beauty of the world around us. The vibrant colors of the sunrise and the songs of birds greeting a new day- all serve as reminders that life is full of blessings. And even in moments of struggle or difficulty, there is always something to be thankful for, whether it’s a supportive friend or family member, access to food and shelter, or simply the opportunity to experience life itself. Amen. Psalm 136:1 says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.” Amen.
Prayer:
Oh Lord, I thank you for answering me and becoming my salvation. Amen.
