I also told them about the gracious hand of my God on me and what the king had said to me. They replied, “Let us start rebuilding.” So, they began this good work. Nehemiah 2:18
Have you ever felt like you were standing amidst rubble, unsure of where to start rebuilding your life? Like Nehemiah, who surveyed the desolate walls of Jerusalem, we sometimes find ourselves in broken places, overwhelmed by what seems impossible. Yet, God whispers to our hearts, inviting us to rise, to act, to build anew. This journey is not ours alone; it requires divine anointing and powerful hands.
In Nehemiah 2:18, the call resounds: “Let us arise and build!” This is more than a mere invitation; it’s a divine command. Just as God filled Bezalel with the Spirit to craft beauty in Exodus 31:3-5, He grants us favor and skill to transform our personal landscapes. When we partner with Him, our hands become instruments of His divine purpose. Let us remember: “Favor opens; skill sustains.”
Exodus 31:3-5 says, “I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.”
Reflect on your own life — perhaps there are dreams stalled amidst the ruins. How can you invite God into your planning? Each small step, prayerful and intentional, is a building block. Proverbs reminds us that “Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings.” Ask the Spirit of wisdom to fill your hands with skill and your heart with courage, enabling you to craft what He has shown you.
As we move forward, let us embody the spirit to pray and ask boldly for the anointing that rebuild. May the Lord, bless our efforts; May our hands be tools for reconciliation, restoration, and love. Remember, each brick laid in faith is a testament to His glory. Imagine the walls that rise around us, strong and fortified, as we build stone by stone, guided by divine blueprints. Amen. Proverbs 18:16 says, “A man’s gift opens doors for him, and brings him before great men.” Amen.
Prayer for the Day!
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your vision in the midst of chaos. Spirit of wisdom, fill my hands with skill and my heart with courage to build what You’ve shown me. Spirit of wisdom, fill my hands with skill, my mind with clarity, and my heart with courage as I build according to Your plans. May each project and prayer become a reflection of Your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
