“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
Harvest answers faithful hands. Yet some hands tremble from planting through disappointment, serving without recognition, and praying through silence. Beloved, your weariness is not hidden from the Lord. Bring Him the ache beneath your endurance and ask Him to help you gather your appointed harvest! Remember, His presence can sustain you even before the field reveals its fruit.
Galatians 6:9 promises, “In due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Ruth entered the fields as a widow seeking provision, faithfully gleaning what remained; God met her through Boaz’s kindness (Ruth 2). Psalm 126:5–6 pictures tearful Sowers returning with joy, while John 4:35–36 directs our eyes toward the harvest of eternal life. God’s harvest reaches beyond possessions to redeemed people and renewed lives.
John 4:35–36 says, “Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the Sower and the reaper may be glad together.”
Where have you grown tired of doing good? Keep loving your family, practicing integrity, offering forgiveness, and praying for the wandering heart. Remember, “Persistence precedes produce.” This is not a formula for controlling God; it is an invitation to trust Him. “Tears turn trophies” when surrendered sorrow becomes testimony to His sustaining grace. Reap in rhythm: obey today without demanding tomorrow’s timetable.
Over you I declare this Scriptural hope: your labor in the Lord is not in vain. May His Spirit strengthen your hands and open your eyes to the good already growing. Like Ruth stepping into the field, take one faithful step: make the call, share the meal, submit the application, or offer the prayer. Trust God with due-season delivery. Amen. Psalm 126:5–6 says, “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.” Amen.
Prayer for the Day!
Father, thank You for harvest. Gather what You have appointed, and prepare me to receive it faithfully. Guard me from impatience, comparison, and neglect. Under Your wise timing, I collect without loss or delay. Let every blessing become generosity, and every testimony honor Jesus. Amen.
