“By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. The wise prevail through great power, and those who have knowledge muster their strength.” Proverbs 24:3–5
In a world where success is often measured by wealth, we find ourselves drawn to the wisdom of Scripture. Proverbs 24:3-5 reminds us, “By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established.” This contrasts sharply with the fleeting nature of riches. Money, as we witness, isn’t the golden ticket; I’ve seen the affluent dine like the impoverished, while the humble savor life’s bounties. This calls us to recognize that true wealth comes from wisdom that builds and maintains.
The foundations of our lives and dreams should echo a profound truth shared in James 3:17: “But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.” Our actions, guided by this divine wisdom, form systems that protect and sustain us, much like Ecclesiastes 10:10 teaches about the necessity of skillful maintenance. A wise plan fosters sustainability, creating a lasting legacy that resonates through generations.
Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things.”
Now, I want you to reflect on your own life — what systems are you putting in place? Ask yourself: Are these strategies founded on wisdom that will withstand the tests of time? Just as Joseph in Genesis 41 devised a comprehensive storage plan to prepare for future famine, we too must cultivate wisdom to ensure our blessings are preserved. Embrace the understanding that maintenance is just as vital as creation; build to last!
Today, I declare over you that the Spirit of Wisdom will envelop your endeavors. Let faith ignite your spirit, propelling you to action. Imagine the transformation! Like Joseph’s foresight, trust that God will instill in you the systems necessary for stewardship, ensuring that your blessings overflow to those in need. Your commitment to wisdom will yield dividends that the world can’t measure. Amen. Ecclesiastes 10:10 says, “If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success.” Amen.
Prayer for the Day!
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of wisdom. Spirit of wisdom, grant me strategies that preserve and enhance my blessings. May my life reflect the sustainability of Your plans. Guide me in nurturing the gifts You’ve bestowed upon me, so I may share them abundantly. In Jesus name. Amen.
