Loving Heart is a Giving Heart. -2
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 1 John 4:7

A generous heart isn’t just in mere words, and one of the key identifiers of true love is a giving from the heart which we can term as a sacrifice. Whether you have a prophetic heart, the heart of faith; the heart of a serving, that’s always aware of unmet needs. A teaching heart that is trying to know more and blesses others with knowledge; An encouraging heart like Barnaba, that love to save others from deepest emotions. The heart of giving truly brings the harvest to sons and daughters of God is one deep-rooted and coming from the heart.

Yesterday, we learned one of the consequences that manifest when we don’t take up the act of love called giving. The second consequence is that we don’t get to know God more. Giving has a strong relationship with our knowledge of God. The more you get to know God, the more you give. There is something that giving does to us, and that is causing a shift in our mindedness and dependence. Joel Osteen said, “When you focus on being a blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance.” There is a giving that ensures that we don’t depend on ourselves, but rather, on the God who made us all and caters for all well being.

It takes a man who has known God to a level to be ready to release all the earthly possessions for God’s sake. The Bible in 1 John was speaking on this wise strongly to all believers that we should not love in words alone but in deeds. This was the pattern God laid, anytime and every time we look into nature, we should remember that God gave first without any expectation of receiving from you. God’s heart should be our heart; God’s mind should be our mind so that we can enjoy the fullness that the Godhead has to offer those who come to Him through Christ. Keep basking in God’s love. 1 Corinthians 8:3, says, “But the one who loves God is known by God.”

Prayer:
1. Lord, I take conscious effort in loving and in giving. I prove my love by the extent of giving I demonstrate as from now henceforth.
2. I decree that I shall find grace and favor in the sight of man and woman today by fire in Jesus name.
3. Lord, help me to apply all the wisdom and insight that You have revealed from today’s devotion and continue to reveal to me henceforth in Jesus name.
4. Lord, help me by Your Spirit to lay down my Seed/Tithe at Your feet in Jesus name.
