Maintain the Persistency! 2
“For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” 1 John 5:4
Maintaining a Victorinus’s life starts with a mindset of knowing who you are and what power lives within you. It begins with knowing your purpose, where you want to go in life, and how much you have to give up. Those who exaggerated the power of failure have nothing living in them other than fear and doubt. But those who have an expression of courage in God will be able to conquer any obstacle in life. Because people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits (Daniel 11:32).
We cannot continue to live a defeated life if God has given us an opportunity to be victorious over the world of suffering. Therefore, it’s time for us to renew our faith in whom we believe and remain persistent in our pursuit of Christ’s lifestyle for all eternity. I am reminded of this scripture from 1 John 5:5: “Who is it that overcomes the world except for the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” In other words, it means victory belongs only to those who believe in Jesus as their Lord and savior.
John 3:18 says, “He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.”
Hebrews 2:3 asked us a question to remind us of the power of salvation through Jesus Christ, saying, “how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation?” In other words, how can we be saved or protected from harm, risk, loss, destruction, and death if we don’t believe in Jesus Christ, whom God has given us as a way of escape? How can we overcome if we don’t learn from Christ’s example the ways of life that overcome? Brethren, no other way than to continue learning the ways of life that Christ reveals.
We must remember that salvation is not just an act of faith; it’s a way out of suffering. Therefore, we must continuously keep our minds open to the truth of Christ’s word and his love for us. We must maintain the persistence to be a partaker of His flesh and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 2:14). We cannot continue to neglect the great salvation, even though it is a choice, yet it remains an extensive blessing that will last forever. Acts 4:12 says, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
