One Mind Together!
“Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, and sisters, be tenderhearted, be courteous” 1 peter 3:8
Have you ever been in a church where only what they care about is ME and MYSELF alone? If you are, you need to leave that church for another because the presence of God cannot flow in such a place. How did I know? A few days back, something triggered the desire to study about the early church in me, to understand why they made such progress in their walk with God, then I found out that the source of their growth is keeping ONE MIND together.
Taking a glance back at the Holy Spirit invasion in the upper room. Acts 1:14 says, “They all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.” In other words, their one mind together was the reason for their progress and the quickening of the Holy Spirit among them. I believe this is what we need to do when we are trying to find harmony in our relationship, business, family, and in the body of Christ.
The unity of their prayers quickened the arrival of the Holy Spirit in the form of a mighty, rushing wind. Acts 2: 5-7 recorded the deliverance of the disunity of languages at the tower of Babel. God brought back the unity of purposes “so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:6. When you have one mind together, you will experience God’s power, but the divided mind brings confusion.
Therefore, striving together is the best way to achieve unity of purpose. The unity of purpose is the key to the body of Christ, which speaks of God’s kingdom. One mind together calls for the fruit of the Holy Spirit to grow in us and abides in God’s nature and character. The fruit of the Spirit is the catalyst that helps us to become Christ-like. One mind called for Holy Spirit the source of life which we cannot see or touch, but yet it produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23.
Prayer:
pray for the Spirit of oneness to reign in the body of Christ, your home and business.
