“But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7
Patience is not simply waiting; it’s the ability to keep a positive attitude while working toward your goals. Everyone wants instant gratification, but success doesn’t come overnight. Even Jesus himself had to wait patiently for His ministry to unfold. He spent 30 years preparing for just three years of public ministry. If Jesus, the Son of God, had to wait patiently for His calling, what makes us think we can achieve our dreams and goals without effort or patience?
Success requires hard work, dedication, and, most importantly, patience. We must trust God’s timing and have faith that everything will fall into place at the right time. Waiting on God can be challenging because we want things to happen on our timeline. However, it is important to remember that God’s plans are always better than ours. We must not forget that His ways are higher than ours, and He knows what’s best for us. Amazing things can happen when we surrender control and let Him lead the way. It may not happen on our timeline or in the way we expect it to, but it will happen if it’s part of His plan for us.
James 5:11 says, “Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.”
The waiting period is also an opportunity to grow spiritually and emotionally. However, it’s common for some people to give up when they’re at the edge of a breakthrough. But I prayed, may that not be your portion in Jesus’ name. Amen. Many people have let go of their dreams, goals, and aspirations just because they couldn’t bear the weight of impatience. It’s easy to get discouraged when you’ve been working hard towards a dream for so long, only to see no results.
The sad truth is that many individuals who backslide are often unaware that they are standing on the brink of success. They assume that nothing is going on or that their efforts have been futile and thus give up too soon. They forget that God has ordained everything in its due season and time. In Psalm 31:15, David recognizes this fact as he declares, “My times are in your hand; rescue me from my enemies and those who pursue me.” We must trust in God’s timing and remain steadfast until we achieve our desired outcome. Amen. Lamentations 3:25 says, “The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.”
Prayer:
1. Dear Lord, I trust that my life’s moments are under your control. Please help me overcome impatience and avoid giving up when I am about to succeed, all in the name of Jesus.
2. You will not experience any delay at the set time of breakthrough that God appoints for your business, ministry, and personal life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
