“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” Psalm 27:14
Success is not an overnight achievement; reaching our goals takes time and effort. Just like a seed that needs the patience to grow into a fruitful tree, success requires patience and faith in ourselves. Success is not just about achieving our goals but also about the journey we take to get there. Waiting for success can be compared to training for a marathon; both require time, effort, and dedication to build up endurance, but crossing that finish line makes it all worthwhile.
Therefore, we must train our minds and bodies for long-term success rather than focusing on short-term gains. It’s important to remember that successful people didn’t achieve their goals easily or quickly – they had setbacks along the way, but they kept going and persevered. Waiting for success is like standing in line at a crowded amusement park ride, knowing that the wait may be long, but the exhilaration and thrill of the ride will be worth it.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Patience is key when waiting for success – it’s what helps us stay focused on our goals even when things get tough. Patience is a virtue that can be challenging to cultivate in today’s fast-paced world. However, it is a crucial trait that is required if we want to achieve success in life. The Bible encourages us to wait patiently for the Lord, as stated in Isaiah 40:28-31, “Those who wait on the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.”
The psalmist David also echoes this sentiment in Psalm 27:14 when he writes, “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.” It takes faith to trust in God’s timing and plan for our lives, but when we do so with patience and perseverance, we are rewarded beyond measure. Even Jesus himself had to wait patiently for His ministry to unfold. Can you have the patience of Jesus and wait for God to unfold your ministry? Trust in God’s timing. Amen. Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, and I will be exalted in the earth!” Amen.
Prayer:
Oh Lord, my times are in your hand; rescue me from impatience and giving up at the edge of a breakthrough in Jesus’ name. Amen.
