Perfect Love, Perfect Father!

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.” Psalm 136:1

Have you ever wondered if there’s truly someone who knows you, loves you, and is always there, even when the world feels silent? For years, I searched for meaning in the noise of a thousand opinions—everyone had their ideas about who God was. But it was in my loneliest moments that I felt a gentle whisper of love telling me I was never alone. That’s when I discovered the truth: God isn’t distant or angry; He’s a good, good Father who delights in me just as I am. So, during times of doubt, remember that a loving Creator cares for and supports you.

Likewise, I once heard a delightful story about a young man who discovered just how much he was loved. One night, he fell asleep to the sound of a gentle whisper assuring him, “You are never alone.” The next morning, he woke up to find his parrot perched on his pillow, repeating the phrase, “You’re a good, good Father!” It turned out his feathered friend had been secretly listening to his playlist. This humorous encounter serves as a reminder that God’s love can come to us in the most unexpected ways, filling our hearts with joy and laughter.

Luke 12:32 says, “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Just like this young man and I, many of you have felt that comforting presence during your quiet moments of prayer. When you whisper your innermost thoughts to God, He responds with a gentle reassurance that you are never alone. That’s why Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, saying, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” Allow this promise to wash over you, bringing peace that surpasses all understanding.

As we celebrate Father’s Day, take a moment to express gratitude for every father figure in your life. Their love mirrors the unconditional love of our Heavenly Father. Remember that God anticipates your heart’s desires even before you voice them.  Embrace the knowledge that He is always working behind the scenes, crafting answers that align with His perfect will for your life. Matthew 7:11 says, “If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!”

 Prayer for the Day!

“Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being our good, good Father. Help us to feel Your presence in our lives and remind us daily of Your love. May we share that love with others around us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.”
