Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits.” Psalm 103:2
As we approach the end of 2025, take a moment to thumb through the snapshots on your phone. Each image isn’t just a visual memory; it’s an invitation to see God’s fingerprints woven into the fabric of your everyday life. Much like Joseph, who went from the depths of a pit to the heights of a palace, our ordinary moments are often filled with extraordinary grace.
Psalm 103:2 reminds us to “bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” In other words, carry your testimonies like lanterns — what God has done will light what you can’t yet see. Each photograph serves as a frame containing the mercies we’ve experienced, even in the most mundane moments. When we look back, we can see how the seemingly simple actions of our day-to-day lives become a canvas for God’s loving hand.
Genesis 50:20 says, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”
Remember, Joseph’s trials led to a divine purpose; that’s why Romans 8:28 assures us that “in all things God works for the good of those who love him.” Our memories become a rich archive of gratitude, where each photo captures a moment of joy, love, or peace. As Ann Voskamp beautifully put it, “Memory is gratitude’s archive.” With every shared smile and captured moment with loved ones, we stitch together an album filled with grace. Our lives are a collection of photographs painted by God’s love, reminding us that “every moment is framed by mercy,” as A.W. Tozer said.
So, let’s take a moment to reflect. Look back at those pictures and recognize the beauty in your journey. Close your eyes and see those snapshots of grace in every frame. As we gather these memories, may we deepen our understanding of God’s providence. Romans 8:28 says, “all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to his purpose.” Amen.
Prayer for the Day!
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for walking with us through every moment of our lives. Brethren, I pray, may the Holy Spirit empower you to recognize God’s fingerprints all around you and to treasure the memories of His faithfulness — those quiet rescues, unexpected provisions, and whispered assurances that have carried you this far. May you rehearse His goodness until gratitude becomes your native tongue and hope rises before the dawn. May the Lord sharpen your sight to behold His nearness in the ordinary: in shared meals, in honest work, in the laughter of friends, and even in tears that water new beginnings. May Scripture be a lamp to your feet, prayer the breath of your days, and obedience the path on which you walk without fear. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
