“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
I pray for the grace to start and finish every task God calls me to do. It’s easy to get caught up in the rush of things and forget about the importance of completing what we started. Sometimes, it feels like there isn’t enough time in the day to accomplish everything on our list, but with prayer, we can find the strength to keep pushing forward. Whether it’s finishing a project at work or starting a new hobby, may we all be blessed with the grace of start and finish to accomplish what we desire.
So let us take a moment each day to ask for this divine gift and watch as it transforms our lives. Starting a task is easy; it’s finishing that requires discipline and perseverance. We need God’s help to stay focused and motivated when things become challenging or overwhelming. When we feel like giving up, we must remember that our success depends on our ability to see things through until the end.
Hebrews 12:1 says, “Therefore since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.”
I pray for God’s grace as I start each day with a positive attitude and a willingness to work hard toward my goals. I know that with His help, I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. As human beings, we often find ourselves in situations where discouragement and turmoil seem to be our constant companions. These negative emotions can rob us of our joy, peace, and progress in life. However, as believers, we have the power to overcome every spirit of discouragement and turmoil within our souls. We can do this by calling upon the name of Jesus and commanding these spirits to leave, so we can finish what God has called us to do.
Remember, asking for the grace of start and finish is not just a prayer but a way of life. It requires discipline, focus, and determination to see things through from beginning to end. We can seek inspiration from others who have mastered this art and apply their principles to our lives. With each task we complete, we build confidence, strength, and character that helps us tackle bigger challenges in the future. Let us make it a habit to pray for the grace of start and finish every day and put in the effort required to see things through. Remember, “What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” Let’s strive to become better versions of ourselves every day! 1 Thessalonians 5:21 says, “But test everything; hold fast what is good.” Amen.
Prayer:
Jesus, you are the alpha and omega; please bestow upon me the grace to begin and complete.
