Settle Your Heart!
“Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against any of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.” Leviticus 19:18
Unforgiveness, vengeance, grudges, bitterness, or anger is not something you can take lightly or continue to carry along in our hearts. Now that we have a few more days to cross to another year of life let us make peace with those who have offended us in one way or another and those we have offended. We must learn to settle that debt of resentment and hatred that has been accumulated over time. Remember, your heart needs peace than before, therefore learn to settle before it is too late.
God said vengeance is mine; I will repay the people that hurt you in due time. That is why Romans 12:19 says, “brother and sister, do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for His wrath. For it is written: Vengeance belongs to Me; I will repay, says the Lord.” In other words, He says, forgive those that hurt you and let them go, though you might appear as a fool, while you are releasing them into the hands of Him that says, “Vengeance is mine, ….”
Proverbs 20:22 says, “do not say, “I will avenge this evil!” Instead, wait on the LORD, and He will deliver you.”
Julius Caesar once wept and said, “I seek not revenge, but victory.” Uhmm! As 2021 goes towards an end, and you continue your life journey, I encourage you ‘Do Not Seek Revenge, but Seek Victory.’ Seek the victory in Christ Jesus. Seeking victory instead of vengeance is one of the keys to enjoying peace of mind for which you have been called. If we want to live a life of peace, we must learn how to settle the debt related to unforgiveness, vengeance, grudges, bitterness, or anger. Remember, making mistakes belongs to humans, but to forgive is Divine.
I understand it’s not easy to do, but it’s doable! Jesus did it, and he encouraged us to do it. Therefore, let go, forgive, and forget. Allow God to do justice; He knows what is right and wrong. Do not pay evil for evil. Be patient, consider the deeds carefully, do not take vengeance into your hands. Forgive and make peace with your heart because the benefit of forgiving comes to the offendee (forgiver) and not the offender. Do it, and it will settle your heart! Matthew 5:7 says, “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.”
Prayer
1. Begin to thank God for the life he has given us, for the price he paid through his only begotten son JESUS. Then, as you begin to worship, say, “I LOVE JESUS.
2. Pray that God should give strength to forgive those who have wronged you in one way or another. (You can pray this prayer on behalf of SOMEBODY and share the message with them).
3. Holy Ghost fire, burn every spirit of anxiety and depression away from my heart in thy name of Jesus.
May God’s blessings rain down from heaven upon this Ministry!
