Stand Out in the Sea of Conformity! Part Two

“After removing Saul, He raised David as their king and testified about him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse a man after My own heart; he will carry out My will in its entirety.” Act 13:22

Don’t be afraid to be different. Heaven and the earth need more people who are unique and true to themselves. Remember when God looked upon David and said, “you are the apple of my eye.” You are different. Therefore, you will be the king of Israel because you are different from everyone else. Just like David, can God trust you to lead His people without doubt and fear not? If so, you absolutely must be different from the rest of them.

David governed the people with the fear of God; he subdued the enemy as God commanded him; he worshiped God-like who cares. Do you know that God can still say the same thing about you as well when you continue to do the will of God as he commands? David has regard to God’s will in any circumstances of his life, either as a shepherd boy or a king, as a sinner or saints. David understood the importance of the grace of God in his life. He realized that he could not continue sin, and God would show him more and more of his wonderful grace.

Psalm 1:1 says, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers.”

Brethren, are you willing to give up all your worldly pleasures for God’s sake? Take bold steps today to be different. It is better to live in God’s house than live in a world of sin with regret. The psalmist thinks of being different, and He said: “Better is one day in the house of God than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.” However, today, people rather be gold diggers and take advantage of others. They don’t care what other people think or say; they want to follow the crowd or whatever their evil heart desires.

Today, I encourage you not to be part of the wicked world because God has many good things to say about you and let the grace continue to flow. However, you have to make up your mind to follow Christ and have the mind of Christ. You have to be different for God to testify good things about you. Jesus said, “You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friend, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” John 15:14-15

Prayer:
1. Thank God for the gift of life! God is awesome. God is good, and his mercy endures forever.
2. Pray earnestly about what you have learned and ask God to guide you so that you can fulfill his will.
3. Decree that the mess of your past will not imprison you from moving into your greater tomorrow.
