Starve Your Distractions, Feed Your Focus.3
Welcome back to toady’s devotional continuation topic that said: “Starve Your Distractions, Feed Your Focus.” From yesterday’s excerpt, we realized that Jesus also starves his distractor (Devil) and feeds his focus (the kingdom). And in the last part, Jesus said to the devil, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’ Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him. Matthew 4:1-11.
Your angel will not show up in the middle of your dramatic worldly distraction. They will show up after you resist the devil’s temptation and make up your mind to follow Jesus. Likewise, in business, or any career, family, or ministries do not flourish in a vacuum of attention. They need attention and encouragement to grow into their full potential.
If you want your angel to attend to your needs and the desires of your heart in time. I encourage you to resist the devil on your knee by prayer, meditation, and reading the word of God at all times. Do not be distracted by unanswered prayer requests from God. Instead, focus on what he has done for you. Keep praying and meditating until the holy spirit comes to your rescue in a way that will help you become overcome.
Daniel refused to be distracted for good twenty-one days, even when he knew that God already answered his prayers on the very first day. He holds to that promise and continues to pray. He is faithful in his faith until the evidence of the things he hoped for becomes real and tangible. You too can hold on to Jesus, until the angel of the Lord attend to your need and give you the strength to overcome.
“The angel prince of the kingdom of Persia opposed me for twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief angels, came to help me because I had been left there alone in Persia.” Daniel 10:13
1. Thank You, Jesus Christ, for giving me the strength to go out into the world and meet with the helpers of destiny.
2. Oh, Lord! release my destiny helpers and partners to locate me speedily in the name of Jesus
3. I break and set myself free from every form of slavery in the world in the name of Jesus.
