Stay with Jesus!
“Now Jesus called His disciples to Himself and said, “I have compassion on the multitude because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.” Matthew 15:32
The most comforting and joyous step I have taken in life is to know and follow Jesus. Sometimes it could be challenging and discomforting, but there had always been a light at the end of such rough tunnels. Jesus was my guide through this dark tunnel. He guided me through the darkness and helped me find the light.
Staying with Jesus is not what we do when things are rosy alone; it demands that we are eternally glued to the kingdom irrespective of eventualities. The people who stayed with Jesus in Matthew 15:32 were people who had been healed of different kinds of diseases and sickness. It is expected that they leave after being healed, but they didn’t.
Many of them stayed with Him; they wanted more of Him. Even when there was no food, their desire to grow spiritually was not reducing. And when Jesus saw their passion, He became compassionate. He could have sent them away without being fed; besides, He healed them already.
However, the truth is that Jesus is not interested in a part or section of our lives, He wants to take over entirely. If you can sincerely stay with God, He will never stop doing you wonders. He will never allow you to faint in the way. If you can stay with Jesus and allow Him to lead you, He will empower you with the strength to do great things in your life.
Apostle Paul said “For this reason, I also suffer these things; nevertheless, I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He can keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.” 2 Timothy 1:12
1. Lord, I thank you for all you’ve done for me, help me not to stop following you.
2. I ask for the grace to never look back on this precious journey with you.
