The Door of 2023 Has Opened: What Next? Part Two
“For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13
Every year is an opportunity for a fresh start. We can set our goals and intentions in the new year and strive toward them. We can take the time to reflect on our past experiences, learn from them, and move forward with greater focus and clarity. It’s also important to remember that even if things didn’t go as planned last year, it doesn’t mean you cannot realize your dreams in the coming one; hope lies in every sunrise of a new day and every turning of the calendar page. That’s why we discussed the importance of having God as our number one priority if we want true and lasting change in our lives;
So, today, let’s talk about two things we can do to ensure that happens: praying and reading God’s Word. Prayer is such a powerful tool for transformation – when it comes from the heart with sincerity, prayer opens the door for us to ask God for His guidance on our life journey. When faced with life’s challenges, many people pray and read God’s Word as a source of comfort and guidance. Prayer helps us connect with our Heavenly Father and map out our opportunities in life while reading His Word provides insight into the best possible outcomes for our lives.
Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to me, and I will answer you and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
During these times, we can seek direction from God through prayer and finding comfort in His presence. As we read His Word, we understand who He is and how He wants us to live according to His will. We also gain insight into how to move forward by following God’s plan for us. Praying and reading God’s Word helps us on our journey through life by providing spiritual nourishment for the mind, body, and soul. Prayer and reading God’s Word are powerful ways to deepen your connection to the divine and to experience God’s presence.
Taking this moment to seek God first in everything we do helps us stay grounded in faith throughout the journey. Because seeking God early in life is like planting a seed that will bear fruit for eternity because it sets us on the path of living a life full of purpose and joy. I pray that each person may be blessed with peace of mind, strength, courage, and success during this season—allowing them to chase after God’s Will and their passions with a plan but also patience and persistence. Amen. Psalm 145:18 says, “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”
Prayer:
1. May you receive all the good things your heart desires that will perfect the will of God in your life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
