The Mind Emphasizes Life!
“Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds.” Ephesians 4:17.
The state of mind determines the quality of life. With a corrupt mind, life becomes meaningless. It becomes a waste of time and energy, which can be used to accomplish nothing else but the flesh’s desires. A corrupted mind is like a corrupted hard drive in a computer that needs to be reformatted, repair, or replaced. When we have a corrupted mind, our thoughts become distorted, and our actions become unproductive. What is the state of your mind?
The carnal mind’s ultimate product is death, whereas the spiritual mind’s outcome is life and peace. But there is good news for you! One of the things that happen when one gets born again is the renewal of the mind. Therefore, a carnal and unregenerate mind is still capable of producing results in as much as he is set to forsake every form of worldliness and give his life to Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says: “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
What are those worldly desires that make your mind unpleasing to God? Are you ready to let go of every form of worldliness in your life? Jeremiah 17:9 says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” The answer to this question is nobody but Christ Jesus; He has the precise knowledge and power to heal and restore physically and spiritually.
The mind can be renewed, changed, or transformed if we allow Christ. It does not matter how much it has been corrupted or damage to the body, but what matters is that it can be renewed and strengthened through Christ’s spirit if you allow Him in your heart. Christ is the solution and the answer to everything. When we make room for Him to be renewed in our hearts, we will see a change in our lives. Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”
1. Lord Jesus, thank you for coming into my life and bringing me to the place of Grace.
2. Psalm 51:10: “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
