The Newness of Life! 2
“And have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.” Colossians 3:10
Physiologically, our bodies are made to move and change. Our minds are made to think about what is happening around us. And as life progressed, our bodies became frail, and even some people’s mind becomes feeble as they age. Some people even allow themselves the luxury of being feeble and frail because they are accustomed to the fact that nothing can renew. But this is not true because God has provided us a way to live in the newness of life.
Living in the newness of life that God has a channel for you is a way of living in the present moment. It is a state of mind where you don’t allow any external influences or circumstances to influence your thoughts and actions. But within your mind, you are transformed daily by the presence of God. When you live in this kind of newness of life, you become more aware of what you have been doing wrong and correct it. You begin to see the good in yourself and others.
Romans 6:4 says, “we were buried with Christ through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead into the glory of the Father; even so we also might walk in newness of life.”
The new life is a life of consciousness, where you summon angels at your disposal. It is a life of awareness, where you realize that what you believe affects everything around you. It helps you understand the covenant relationship you have with God. Not only that, but it enables you to understand the power of love and forgiveness, which is so important for all of us.
The newness awakens your soul to the truth of who you are and the true purpose of your life. When we accept the newness of life, the old life is taken away through death on the cross. You bear a new name, you bear a new record both on earth and in heaven, as Christ was raised from the dead, and he was glorified. So, we also become glorified. Romans 8:30 says, “And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.”
Prayer:
1. Father, thank you for the grace of the new life available in Christ Jesus.
2. Psalm 51:10; “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me in Jesus name.
