“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; Before you were born, I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5
Are you searching for your purpose? Look no further than the power of divine revelation! God, our maker, is more interested in revealing and guiding us toward our purpose than we could ever desire to know. Jeremiah 1:5 reminds us that God had plans for us even before we were formed in the womb. He knows every detail about us, including our strengths, passions, and unique talents that can be used to fulfill our purpose. Divine revelation is not a one-time event but a continuous journey of discovering who we are meant to be.
As we seek a deeper connection with God, He will unveil His plans and purposes for our lives through various means – dreams, visions, scripture, and even through other people. We must be open and receptive to these revelations as they provide invaluable insights into how we can make a meaningful impact in the world. God has predestined every humankind; we do not live as an experiment on earth. However, it is paramount for us to catch a glimpse of our daily work. His purpose is His will for our lives, and walking and working in it is necessary. God is the creator and manufacturer of everything. He provides everything following what you were made.
Psalm 16:11 says, “Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forever.”
Everything God created is for a purpose which is the assignment. Unfortunately, many people lack understanding. There are two categories of people on earth: those who do not know their purpose and those who understand their purpose and work towards their assignment. Your assignment is your calling, and everything needed is embedded in it. How do you discover the assignment? No other way than to seek it from God. Every manufacturer only owns the explanation for every of their product.
Therefore, we are God’s products; we have our manual and will embed it in Him. So if anyone wants to know their purpose, I would say seek God’s face. God is more interested in showing and telling you about your purpose than you desire to know. This could be a turning point in your life, the year goes by fast, and we must understand God’s will for our life to focus on God’s perfect will and not just the goodwill of our selfishness. Matthew 7:14 says, “But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
Prayer:
Help me to hear you rightly, Lord, and give me the will to know and do your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen
