The Power of the Tongue!
“Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the LORD, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you.” Numbers 14:28
Years ago, I met a friend at the airport complaining about her life, how her life is messed up, and nothing good can come to her life. I spoke to her and explained that she is in a bad situation because of her confession and beliefs. I had to show her place in the scriptures where people have changed their lives with their words.
Five years after, I met her in a meeting, giving testimony on how God has changed her life, marital status, and general well-being. She ended with this statement, “Truly, there is Power in your Tongue.” Dear brethren, the words you speak through your mouth can either make you or break you; Therefore, I urge you to use them wisely.
Matthew 12:37 says, “For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words, you will be condemned.”
As a believer, what we confess is bound to be our reality on earth. Suppose you have been confessing negativity about how you can’t make it or how bad you are. If care is not taken, you will certainly experience all your confession because scripture says in Proverbs 18:21, Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. As a believer, the confession that comes from your tongue can heal you from any disease and oppression.
Just like our opening scripture says, God is always with us to carry out demand and counsel from our mouths every single second. So, it would help if you quit speaking negative things, failures, and defeats about your life. Things may look rough at the moment, but keep on confessing positivity because your victory is not far from reach in Jesus’ name. Proverbs 13:2 says, “From the fruit of their lips, people enjoy good things, but the desire of the faithless is violence.”
Prayer:
1. Thank you, father, because I am blessed, prosperous, favor, wise, and excellent as Jesus is.
2. Isaiah 3:10; It shall be well with you from this day forward, and you will enjoy the fruit of your labor in Jesus’ name. Amen.
