“Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” Isaiah 43:7
One of the most powerful things that God has given us is his image. In Mark 10:6, it says that God created us in his image. This means we have been given the ability to think and make choices. We also have the ability to love and be compassionate. One of the most amazing things about being created in God’s image is that we can become like him. This happens as we learn to think and act like him. We can also become more compassionate as we imitate God’s love.
The Bible says that we are to be “imitators of God.” (Ephesians 5:1). As we grow in our understanding of who God is, we can begin to imitate him more and more in our own lives. We can also share his love with those around us. Remember, every person has inherent value and worth simply because they bear the image of their Creator. No matter their race, gender, or social status – all people have a divine stamp upon them. This should compel us to treat every person with dignity and respect regardless of how different they may appear from us and use the gifts we have been given to make a positive difference in the world.
Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.”
Knowing that we are made in the image of God should also motivate us to honor and serve him with our lives. We should seek to please him with our thoughts, words, and deeds. By doing this, we will find true happiness and fulfillment. Psalm 17:15 says, “As for me, I will see your face in righteousness; I will be satisfied with your likeness when I awake.” This verse tells us that when we awake in heaven, we will be satisfied because we will see the face of God and be like him. This should inspire us to live our lives worthy of God’s approval.
We should aim to become holy as he is holy so that we can be in his presence forever. The Secret Power of God’s Image lies in our ability to strive for holiness, just as He is holy. And the only way we can achieve this is by constantly working towards becoming more like Him. We must understand that holiness doesn’t come easily; it requires a conscious effort on our part. Also, when we trust Jesus wholeheartedly, we are given the spiritual power to become more like Him. We can access this great secret power through faith in Christ. Amen. 1 Corinthians 15:22 says, “For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.” Amen.
Prayer:
1. Thank you, Jesus, for your grace and your mercy.
2. Holy Spirit helps me access God’s Spiritual power and knowledge of God’s will for my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
