The Shadow of the Past!
“For it is the God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6
From the beginning, God has been the ultimate Light, and from His abundance of Light, He also created Light for us. God’s wisdom was not to remove darkness, but rather, He approved it to co-exist with Light. Human being appreciates the day when night comes, and their joy is not dashed because they are rest assured that night would not last a lifetime. And in a short while, the morning will shine forth in its Glory.
The shadow of the past disappears when the Light of God shines through. It doesn’t matter what you have been through in the past; when the Light of God shines through, we can see the beauty and power of our own life. When we look at the world around us, there is no need to worry about the future or tomorrow. Don’t dread about the night because it will be gone when lit up by the Light of God.
Psalm 30:5 says, “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”
The Light of God is eternal and ever-changing. It changes as we change and grow in faith in him. He is always with us and never leaves us. When we allow God to be the ROCK of our life, the SALVATION of our soul, and the FORTRESS of our heart and mind, we will not be SHAKEN by the valley of the shadow of death. In our lives, every darkest part of us will fade when the veiled Glory is unveiled. If we trust God in such a manner to be built of God, then we will surely shine more and more.
There is no doubt about this because we have Christ. Christ’s unveiled Glory is a greater glory and the one who has graced us unto Glory. So, if there’s anything you are passing through today, remember that the Light will shine at the end. The Glory will dissolve the shame into fame in your life. When you walk with the Father of Glory through whom God’s Glory is daily revealed in us, we will always have a brighter experience than we’ve had in the past. Trust God, Stay, Be Patient, Diligent, and Be Built. Psalm 97:11 says, “Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.”
Prayer:
1. Lord, I pray for the grace to stay and trust in You and to be built fully.
2. Psalm 31:16; Make your face shine on me; save me in your steadfast love in Jesus’ name. Amen.
