The Time to Think! 2

“If you think it’s the wrong thing for you to serve God, then choose for yourselves today whom you will serve the gods whom your ancestors served on the other side of the Euphrates River or the gods of the Amorites in whose territories you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15

The reality is speeding up with every one of us as we experience the fantastic rules and regulations that govern Coronavirus. It is a perfect time to rethink about what you believe and what you lean on when life is at stake because human capabilities are limited as COVID-19 proved many wrongs. The hope of humanity has failed in its quest for survival.

The world has lost the ability to see beyond themselves. People have lost their capacity to see beyond themselves and others’ perceptions that entrap them from knowing the truth and understanding God’s purpose. What people believe to be true has become false, and something that supposed to save has lost its power in the eyes of humanity.

We have been taught to believe in humans for so long that we forget about God. Many believers worship their leader and follow him blindly without a deep relationship with God. The medical doctors failed to remind us that we are all human beings, but our minds don’t know how to make sense of the truth of the slogan that said, “We care, but God Cure.” The government failed to teach us how to live a life of faith in God, who never fails.

However, in today’s scripture, we have been given a choice to choose between whom we should lean on to help us find peace and happiness. We can either turn to God or people that formally deceive us into believing they are better than God. But I encourage you to choose wisely because it will be your choice on Judgement day. Micah 4:5 says, “Though each of the peoples may walk in the name of his god, yet we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever.”

Prayer:
1. Thank you, Jesus, for saving my family and me from the evil desires of Satan.
2. Holy Ghost fire, consume every plan of the devil against my life in Jesus’ name.
3. May the Lord show you and household mercy today in Jesus’ name.
