Them That Look for Him!
“So, Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him, He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.” Hebrews 9:28.
Human being has been in darkness for so long, ever since the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Humanity has been looking for all possible best to be free from agony and pain, but it seems they have found nothing. They use everything available to them, including their bodies, but they cannot find a solution to it. However, God’s love through Christ for us is more significant than any earthly power.
Salvation requires a sacrifice of blood for the remission of sins; in the old testament, God has always been using the blood of a cow, goats, and so on. However, Christ was offered once, and we gain our freedom. After Christ has been offered as the atoning sacrifice, to gain access into that salvation, we only need to call his name, Jesus, to deliver us. The question is, ‘how well do you know Jesus, what is the conviction you hold about him?’
Philippians 2:9-11 says, “Therefore God has highly exalted Jesus and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Romans 10:13 also assured us salvation that “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” But do you know whom you want to call? How can you call a name when you are not convicted that the name is greater and above every other name? To know Jesus, you must search for him with all your heart. You must look unto him and confess what Christ has done. The scripture assured us that he is close to us than ever before.
Refusal to look for Jesus has put many kings and queens to be under slaves. When you look for Him, He will reward you handsomely with information, knowledge, and wisdom that will enable you to reigns like king and priests. Hebrews 1: 1-2 says, “Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.”
Prayer:
1. Dear Jesus, I receive wisdom to reign like a king/Queen
2. Thank you for your word; I receive the grace to be persistent in looking for you in Jesus’ name. Amen
