Unlock the Power of Intercessory Prayer! Part Three
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Matthew 21:22
In times of need, prayer can be a powerful source of strength and comfort. We often seek the Lord for help during our own struggles, but He also calls us to lift prayers on behalf of others as well. Interceding is an important part of our relationship with God, and it is through faith that we are able to trust that our prayers will make a difference. I pray that the Lord will give you faith to intercede for those around you who suffer from deep spiritual or physical needs.
Interceding in prayer on behalf of others can be intimidating at times because we don’t always know how to pray in the right way. We may feel inadequate and scared that our words won’t reach God’s ears. However, If we trust God enough and truly want to stand in gap of prayer for someone, the Holy Spirit will intervene and help us to pray. According to Romans 8:26, “the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.”
John 4:24 says, “God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
With this Roman 8:26 in mind, unlocking the power of intercessory prayer can be achieved through studying God’s word, dedicating time to prayer, and understanding the power of faith. Studying the Bible gives insight into what God wants from His children when praying on behalf of others. It also provides assurance that He hears our prayers and works miracles through them. Since the Bible is known as an invaluable source of knowledge and understanding – studying it, deepening our spiritual lives and help us uncover a hidden treasure of knowledge and insight to prayer.
Remember, intercession is not just about praying for the people we meet in our daily lives, but also those whom we may never meet or hear their stories directly. So, we should always be mindful of how much power lies within prayer, especially when done with faithfulness. No prayer uttered with faithfulness goes unheard; it changes the course of eternity and unlock the miracle of life instantly or later. Psalm 145:18 says, “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” Amen.
Prayer:
(From Psalm 19:14) Oh Lord, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Amen.
