Victory over Satan!

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

As Christian’s life comes with peace, so also it does come with warfare. Because the enemy is always trying to take advantage of us, but as a good soldier of Christ, we are to war a good warfare. You are battered on every side, and you live a life of warfare because you have a callous enemy whose mission is to kill, steal, and destroy you. Therefore, the enemy has no mercy for your soul, and he will not take you seriously if you don’t fight back.

That enemy is Satan, created as a beautiful and wise angel Lucifer before, but he entertains pride in his heart and rebels against God. Satan was able to convince several angels to rebel against God’s sovereignty. He is called “the prince of the power of the air” because he and his fallen angels now inhabit the heart atmosphere. Though they are invisible, Satan and his fallen angels engage in all kinds of evil acts that disturb the children of God. Today, we shall critically examine how the devil works.

1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

Satan carries out his daily impervious acts, and he is determined to destroy people. The Lord Jesus called the devil a murderer. He has many ways and vice through which he destroys people, but his primary weapons are deceit and lies. His deceptive acts have captured many, thinking that all supernatural occurrences come from God, and that’s not true. Satan and his cohorts can also perform great signs and wonders to deceive many people. Satan also tries to hinder God’s work on earth by spreading doubt and unbelief when the gospel is preached.

Many children of God have been oppressed by Satan when he puts thoughts of doubt, fear, and discouragement into their minds. He brings discouragement so that they will not live for God. Finally, they are tempted by Satan to commit terrible sins. He tries to manipulate people’s thoughts to perceive what is wrong to be the right thing to do. He lures with the things of this world so that they can turn against God. May the Lord deliver us from the antics of the devil in Jesus’ name. 2 Corinthians 11:14 says, “no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”
