We are the Light!
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14
Apostle Paul was among the men God used mightily. We have loads of his testimonies in the book of Act; God fashioned numerous wonders through his hands. Items like aprons and handkerchiefs were brought to him as a point of contact to the sick that could not get to him.
Through Paul, People received healing. The sick were healed, the lame began to work, and the blind began to see. The ignorant would have developed a certain amount of belief in the aprons and handkerchiefs; of course, they were the point of contact, but they do not have any mind or intelligence. God only uses such tools to conduct God’s power, but the power does not dwell on it.
Proverbs 4:18 says, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day.”
This is an approximate illustration of the human being as a living vessel and carrier of God’s power. Some people can carry the power of God, and they remain useless if there are no importations. The knowledge of God and His power in us is not only given for individual progress; there are numerous points of need that we need to meet. We are God’s anointed, and we must ensure the spread of the anointing.
As a believer, our first business is to tell the good news of the gospel to everyone around us. We cannot afford to have the Holy Spirit and exist like ordinary people. Utilize God’s blessings, serve people at their needs, impact lives, and be an outstanding light among people. Settle on the decision to manage your reality; preach the gospel, crave for the Holy Spirit and His will for your life. 1 Corinthians 9:16 says, “For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me.”
Lord, help me shine the light of the gospel onto people struggling with a problem or need in Jesus’ name. Amen.
