“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
Our weapons of warfare are incredibly powerful, surpassing any earthly arsenal. They possess the ability to dismantle the strongholds that have been erected in people’s minds, demolishing sinful thought patterns and mental structures that fuel rebellion against God. With these weapons, we are fully equipped to combat every argument used to rationalize sin and justify unbelief.
One of our primary objectives is to address the distorted thinking that prevents individuals from submitting to Christ. By using our powerful weapons, we can strike at the core of these misleading thoughts and captivate them with the truth of God’s Word. We have been entrusted with the authority to take every rebellious thought captive into submission under Christ. In 2 Corinthians 2:11, Paul reminds us that we must not be ignorant of Satan’s schemes. We must recognize his cunning tactics aimed at deceiving people and keeping them trapped in sinful mindsets.
1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
However, armed with our divine weapons, we possess the ability to expose these lies and bring about transformation. The second chapter of Corinthians further emphasizes that those who remain enslaved by their own sinful reasoning are blinded by the god of this world (4:4). It is our responsibility as warriors for Christ to shine His light into this darkness and liberate those held captive by their misguided beliefs. Romans 1:21 reveals how people exchange the truth of God for a lie and end up mentally depraved. Through our spiritual weaponry, we can be instruments through which their corrupt thought processes are dismantled, allowing them to embrace God’s truth once again.
Let us not forget that this battle for souls is not merely about intellectual debates or persuasive arguments; it is about demolishing strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4-6). Our encouragement comes from knowing that although these fortresses may seem impenetrable, they crumble under the forcefulness of our spiritual weapons. Therefore, let us fully grasp the power within our reach. Amen. James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Amen.
Prayer for Today,
1. Thank you Jesus, for saving us.
2. I decree and declare that every stronghold of darkness operating in your life, causing torment, fear, and oppression, is now bound and rendered powerless by the authority given to me through Jesus Christ. I call upon the heavenly hosts to arise and enforce this divine command. Amen.
Amen
