What do You Believe? 3

“Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” Luke 23:43

Your thought, your word, and your deed will describe you and what you believe. Your character toward the things of God will summarize your faith in the kingdom because only people that know the truth will believe and hold on to the truth.

The penitent thief on the right hand of Jesus Christ, who was crucified for his sins, knew the truth about himself and his life. He also believed in Jesus Christ as a savior and Lord. Instead of him joining his friend to insult Jesus, he said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same judgment? We are punished justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our actions. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Luke 23:40-41

The penitent sinner believes the existence, the power, and the providence of God. What he believes helps him to recognize the innocence and excellence of Jesus Christ. His belief enabled him to see the royalty in Christ’s heart. And “Jesus said to him, “today you will be with Me in Paradise.” Luke 23:43. His status changed from hell to eternity because he believed.

What about you, do you believe, or you still doubt salvation in Christ? Remember, the savior’s grace is meant for those who believe and hold on to Jesus. Jesus was indeed crucified on the cross, but he didn’t die as a sinner but died to save the sinner like you. 1 John 5:12 says, “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

Prayer:
1. Dear Lord, I pray that you give me strength and help to overcome my unbelief.
2. Every power that is intimidating my faith in Christ, Lord washes them away with the blood of Jesus.
3. I BELIEVE in Jesus Christ.
