What Makes God Smile?

“The LORD looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise if anyone seeks God.” Psalm 14:2

In this generation, much more than people who will manifest kingdom affluence and splendor, God is looking for people like Noah who will sustain the fortitude to bear a track record of a consistent walk with and love for Him. People, whom their pursuits and desires will mean nothing more to them than to willfully bring pleasure to God with all that they have got.

Many people think God is not interested in them because they are not yet perfect, and therefore, their lives cannot please Him. They even look at some people doing supposed great things and think of themselves as unworthy. God doesn’t wait for you to reach maturity before He starts liking you. He loves you at every stage of your life, from infancy to adulthood. He knows what it takes to be loved by others and how much you need to depend on him. God only requires the wholehearted of you to surrender to Him.

Many people still hold the unfounded and wrong perception of teachers, parents, and others about them from the time they grew up. God knows you’re incapable of being perfect or sinless. He knows your frame and remembers that you are dust (Ps103:14). What God looks at is the position of your heart. Is pleasing Him your deepest desire? If so, let go of your pride and be humble to read the Bible in a way that pleases God.

Martin Luther said, “I have so much to do that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.” — When you live in the light of eternity, you will be able to see the beauty of God’s love. You’ll know how much he cares for you. Don’t mind what people have to say. You don’t need a human’s approval or assessment to please God. However, you have made pleasing God the goal of your life. There is nothing God won’t do for those who are totally absorbed with this goal.1 Peter 2:11 says, “Beloved, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from the desires of the flesh, which war against your soul.”

Prayer:

  1. In the name of Jesus Christ, by the grace of God, I make pleasing God my only life goal from today.
  2. 1 Corinthians 5:7- Purge me, oh Lord, let me be cleansed of all old habits that are not serving me in Jesus’ name. Amen
