Where Treasures Truly Lies! Part Two
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy, he sells all that he has and buys that field.” Matthew 13:44
Are you looking for treasure? The kind of treasure that will make you wealthy beyond your wildest dreams? Treasure is something that we all search for in our lives. It can be something as simple as a new car or as complicated as the meaning of life. We all want to find that one thing that will make us happy, and we’ll do whatever it takes to get it. But unfortunately, what we’re looking for is often right in front of us, and we don’t even know it because many people overlook it. So the key to finding treasure is to look inside yourself. Once you find what’s inside, you’ll be able to unlock the door to untold riches.
God is the source of wisdom. I’m talking about the treasure that lies within every one of us — our connection to God. A lot has been said about the human connection to God and what that might mean for us. In Matthew 13:44, Jesus speaks about a treasure hidden in a field, which is found by a person who sells everything they have to buy that field. This is often interpreted as a metaphor for the human soul’s connection to God. The wisdom and understanding that come from this connection are of immeasurable value and are worth any price.
2 Corinthians 4:7 says, “But we have this treasure in clay jars to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.”
The treasure also includes our spiritual identity. While this connection is not directly related to the material world, it affects how we think and live. The treasures that lie in our hearts are worth so much more than the things of this world. With this connection, we can find peace and happiness no matter what life throws our way. We can also find the strength to do what is right, even when it’s difficult. And best of all, we can know that we are always loved and supported by God.
When you connect with God, you connect with the power that created the universe, you connect with the source of all love and authority, and there is no limit to what you can accomplish. Therefore, let your heart connect with God, and with Him in your heart, you will find the hidden treasure. It may not be what you expect, but it will be something that fulfills you and makes you happy. You just need to connect with God and let Him show you the way through Christ Jesus. “In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:3
Prayer:
1. Oh Lord, let your precious treasure and oil abide in my dwelling place.
2. Holy Spirit guides my steps in this life that I may not devour the treasure of God in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
