Whose Report Shall You Believe?
Who hath believed our report, and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? Isaiah 53:1
Spies were sent out of the congregation of children of Israel to go and check out the land God has promised them and their fathers. The same Lord that brought the people out of their bondage and slavery in Egypt promised to give them the land of their enemies for inheritance. As such, Moses sent out of all the tribes, one man each to go and spy out the land, and they came back with different reports.
In our contemporary world, as it was in the day of Moses, there are many voices, reports, opinions, theories, and philosophies all around. But whose report are you going to believe? Medical reports, economic reports, weather forecast reports amidst many other reports are all around. Whose report would you believe?
The Word of God, the sure word of hope, has been handed over to us to meditate and live. But it is unfortunate that many still succumb to the lies of hell and the deceit of the devil. Maybe we need to remember and be aware that we are in an informative world. Information flies like the air that blows. Eve believed someone’s report, aside from the report of her husband and that which God has given them to live by in the garden. Believing a new report, she caused a whole generation of humankind a lot.
One of the reasons we have the scripture written as inspired by the Holy Ghost is to guide us every day, and every moment of living. We are to dispel and discard every report and information that is contrary to the word of God. Believe God and believe His report through the testimony of the Word of God. “Who went in the way before you to search out a place for you to pitch your tents, to show you the way you should go, in the fire by night and in the cloud by day.” Deuteronomy 1:33
1. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for all the miracles you have done in my life.
2. I believe your word for my every moment living. I receive grace to discard every contrary report.
