“Who hath believed our report, and to who is the arm of the Lord revealed?” Isaiah 53:1
In our contemporary world, as it was in Moses’s day, there are many voices, reports, opinions, theories, and philosophies all around. But whose report are you going to believe? Medical reports, economic reports, weather forecast reports, among many other reports, are all around. Whose report would you believe?
Numbers 13 narrated the different reports brought to Moses when Spies were sent out of the congregation of Israel children to go and check out the land God has promised them. Moses sent out of all the tribes, one man each, to spy out the land, and they came back with different reports. Ten of the spies present the report with fear, saying, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” However, Joshua and Caleb, in faith, said we could take what God had promised to give them.
Numbers 13:30 “Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”
If you are like Moses, whose report, who would believe? The ‘WE CAN’ or ‘WE CANNOT.’ These are two words that have been used by many to describe their faith and destiny in life. The word’ we can or cannot’ is a powerful one. However, we must remember that every prophecy or report that doesn’t align with God’s word is a lie.
The word of God is yes and amen, but only if we believe it wholeheartedly. It does not matter how many giants on our way, how many mountains we have to climb, or what kind of dread that comes from the unknown; if God says it’s okay, then we should do it because every promise through Christ is yes. 2 Corinthians 1:20 says, “For all the promises of God are “Yes” in Christ. And so, through Him, our “Amen” is spoken to the glory of God.”
1. Oh Lord, I believe your word for my every moment living.
2. I receive grace to discard every contrary report that is not aligned with the word of God in Jesus’ name.
