Write a “Pre-Manifestation” Praise List!

“Though the fig tree does not bud and no fruit is on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though the sheep are cut off from the fold and no cattle are in the stalls. Yet I will exult in the LORD; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk 3:17-18

In the grand tapestry of life, each day offers us an opportunity to celebrate even when we can’t yet see the fruits of our labor. Think of a tree in early spring, its branches bare yet full of promise, adorned with buds that whisper the hope of flowers and fruit to come. Just as Habakkuk expressed his unwavering faith, we too can create a “pre-manifestation” praise list, celebrating the blessings we trust will soon unfold.

“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines,” (Habakkuk 3:17), we can rejoice in the anticipation of a bountiful harvest. Each entry on our praise list reflects a seed planted in faith, awaiting the moment it breaks through the soil. It’s like a painter preparing their palette, even before the canvas is touched, trusting that a masterpiece is on the horizon.

Isaiah 12:2 says, “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. For the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and He also has become my salvation.”

The story of Habakkuk encourages us to vocalize our faith during times of waiting. His declaration of praise, “yet I will rejoice in the Lord,” becomes our anthem when we acknowledge and celebrate the goodness that lies ahead. Just as a sunrise brings certainty to the day, our acts of praise illuminate the path toward the fulfillment of our hopes.

In the book of James, we are reminded that every good and perfect gift comes from above (James 1:17). Even when circumstances around us appear barren, we hold the glorious truth that God’s promises are unfailing. Let your praise list be filled with gratitude for the blessings yet to be manifested, akin to a gardener who nurtures their plants long before the fruits appear. Amen. Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Amen.

Prayer for the Day!

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious promises You’ve placed in our hearts. May our voices rise in joyous anticipation as we celebrate every blessing before it is seen. May our hearts remain open, eager, and filled with faith as we watch the fig tree bloom. Help us to remain steadfast in praise, trusting in Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
