YOUR JOY CAN NO ONE TAKE!

“And ye now, therefore, have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man takes from you.” John 16:22.

When I see some believers and the way they live their life, it always saddens me that the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ seems to be a dream. It looks like a distant memory of what was once a glorious time in their lives. But then I realize that no matter what happens, the joy of the Lord ever-present in the life of faithful believers.

While meditating on this scripture, the spirit of the Lord helps me to understand that some of these so-called believers have not truly accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts. Isaiah 29:13 says, “Wherefore the Lord said, For as much as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me but have removed their heart far from me, and the precept of men teaches their fear toward me.”

With a widened understanding of what Isaiah said, then I understand how sorrowful the disciples were on hearing about the departure of Christ. They do understand the importance of Christ’s presence in their lives. However, Jesus made a promise that he would come back to them so that their heart would rejoice as a woman whom her labor’s pain turns to joy after she had given to a child. John 16:21.

When we genuinely accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior neither sorrow nor afflictions, neither men nor devils would ever deprive us of the joy of our father. Having this in mind, we should not judge ourselves by our present situation or by what we are currently experiencing, but we should encourage ourselves by holding onto the word of God as advised by apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:17.

1. Claim the grace to Continue in The Joy of Our Lord Jesus Christ
2. Pray against the demonic spirit that can stop You from counting it all joy when you fall into divers issues in the name of Jesus.
