Are You Waiting on God? Part Seven

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 4:2

An answer to some prayer goes through some process, while other answers can be instantaneous. However, it doesn’t matter how you receive the answer; waiting on God is a process that takes time and patience. It’s something that we have to continue steadfastly in prayer and thanksgiving. God always works in our lives, even when we can’t see it. So we need to keep trusting Him and waiting for His timing.

We can find joy in the small things and keep moving forward through our steadfastness in prayer and thanksgiving. When we pray, we are communicating with the one who created everything and knows everything. We can be thankful for what we have been blessed with, even when our circumstances are difficult. So, as we wait on God, let’s continue to pray and be thankful.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Always Rejoice, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

We may not understand why God is taking so long to answer our prayers or why things are not going as we want. But we must continue steadfastly in prayer and thanksgiving, knowing God is always in control. No matter what we go through, we can find comfort in knowing God is with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. And we can be assured that He hears our prayers and will answer them in His own time and in His way.

Waiting for an answer from God can be difficult, especially when the answer doesn’t seem to be coming. During these times, it’s easy to give way to a spirit of cynicism and lose sight of all the good in your life. However, don’t give up! When we’re waiting for an answer from God, it’s important to stay positive and hopeful. Remember, God always works in our lives, even when we can’t see it. He has a plan for us and is always in control. So, don’t give up! Instead, keep praying and trusting in God; He will reveal His plan to you in His time. Colossians 3:15 says, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.”

Prayer:
1. 1 Chronicles 16:34 – I give thanks to you, oh Lord, you are good, and your steadfast love endures forever!
2. Oh Lord, help me to be fervent in prayer and thanksgiving while waiting to hear from you in Jesus’ name.
3. John 10:10; By the abundant life in Christ Jesus, you are released into the unspeakable abundance life roundabout in the atmosphere in Jesus’ name. Amen.
