Away with Doubt!
“Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Corinthians 2:11
Perfecting the saints is heart-based. The believing, desiring, longing, or craving comes from the heart. Whatever work God intends to do in your life will happen in your heart. If the heart is transformed, your life will be transformed. That’s why all the attacks of the Devil come directly to the heart. He isn’t much concerned about whatever you do as long as your heart belongs to him.
Having identified a desire in your heart, something he sees that you value and hold tightly to your heart, he then puts doubt in your heart. He attacks your belief system to the point that you begin to doubt everything you have ever learned about God. His doctrines, even to the miracles you have ever seen with your eyes, doubt will herald your heart, and you will begin to question their veracity just as he cast doubt in Eve’s mind before disobedience took place in the garden of Eden.
Genesis 3:1 says, “Now the serpent was craftier than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. So, he said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?”
The Devil can sometimes disguise himself as Angel, which is not surprising (2 Corinthians 11:14). That’s why at the point where you see yourself doubting the love of God for you, you begin to question what God has said about sin, and you begin to feel the urge to prove the laws of God whether they are correct or not, this is the Devil attacking you with unbelief. And such unbelief can delay or destroy destiny if care is not taken to understand the truth.
However, remember that God wants you to be happy, and He does not hate you irrespective of your righteousness or unrighteousness. He wants you close to Himself. Therefore, never let the Devil tell you tales to make you feel sorry and angry with God. Don’t entertain doubt at all. The moment you feel doubt about God and His power, the Devil is about to pollute your mind, quickly flee from it. Replace such doubt with the word of God, and the Spirit of God will deliver you. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your understanding.”
1. I kick out of my life the spirit of the doubt about the power of God. I receive the spirit of sound faith in Jesus’ name.
2. Jude 1:22; Oh Lord, have mercy on those who doubt and forgive their unbelief in Jesus’ name. Amen.
