Christ Our Joy!
“I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.” John 15:11.
The reason for the season’s joy is because of Jesus’ love for us. The pure joy and elation of the season are because God has given us the gift of his Son, Jesus Christ. This gift is what I call Holy Joy. I am sure that, all that the Savior has done for you, you cannot tell it all. The Savior’s joy has turned your mourning into dancing; He has loosed your sackcloth and clothed you with gladness.
David said in the book of Psalm 40:5, “God, you have done many beautiful things, and you have planned marvelous things for us. No one is like you! I would never be able to tell all you have done.” The joy of the Savior has done so much to the extent that we cannot tell it all. Amid opposition, God declared Himself mighty on our behalf. With all our emotional issues such as anxiety, heartache, pain, disappointment, and sorrow, the Joy of the Lord, has not let us down. Yet the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost.
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
The Savior’s joy in you has become intercessory that no circumstances in life could overcome. The joy of the Savior changes our sorrow; His birth brings us the gift of life; His light changes our darkness; His word liberates us from destruction; His blood redeemed us; He justified us freely forever when he was raised from the dead. God delights in you and me; that is why he told us to keep his commandment so that the Father’s love will remain in us.
Do not let challenges such as distress, anguish, despair, trial, or tribulation in this life consume you to the extent that you forgot all the promises, goodness, and joy of the Lord in your life. Do not let the pursuit of this world steal your JOY because it is the will of God for you to be happy. Enjoy the reason for the season. Jesus wants to see you happy and joyful. “The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The bridegroom’s friend stands and listens for him and is overjoyed to hear the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.” John 3:29
- Thank God for the joy He purchased with the blood of Jesus.
- The Bible says, “That joy is mine, and it is now complete. So, therefore, I pray for you this day that your joy will be full in Jesus’ name.
- The JOY of the LORD is your strength; I pray that nothing will interrupt your communion and your faithfulness with the Father in heaven in Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
