Contenders for Your Mind! Part Two

Contenders For Your Mind! Part Two.

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you.” Isaiah 26:3

When our minds are focused on God, we can avoid being intruded upon by the worries and concerns of this world. Today’s Bible verse says God will keep in perfect peace all who trust in Him, everyone who fixed their thoughts on God (Isaiah 26:3). When we a on God, He becomes our stronghold and protector against every spiritual force of worry that comes our way. Psalm 119:165 says, “Abundant peace belongs to those who love Your instruction; nothing can make them stumble.”

Remember, our mind is sometimes in a conflict between Flesh and God. We are constantly pulled in different directions sometimes or most of the time by the things that interest us in this life. However, when we fix our thoughts on Him, we can find true peace and freedom from worry and make the right choice. The book of Ezekiel 11:5 and 20:32 shows that things, sometimes naturally, encroach into our minds. Ezekiel 38:10 shows that the things that come into our hearts unconsciously influence our thoughts or actions, making us do things that can be harmful to ourselves or others.

Romans 7:21 says, “So this is the principle I have discovered: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.”

Each time we are at crossroads and unsure of the decision to take, we are to weigh the spirit whispering into our minds so that we don’t eventually yield to the dictates of the flesh. If you are not yet born again, you cannot yield yourself to the Spirit of God; your mind needs to be saved and regenerated by the Lord Jesus Christ. If you believe and confess Him as your Lord and Savior, your mind will be regenerated. Ask the Lord Jesus to come into your heart.

Apostle Paul said, “Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord! Then, with my mind, I serve the law of God, but with my flesh, I serve the law of sin.” (Romans 7:25). This is an important point because it means that our heart of repentance through Christ Jesus, our Lord, and Savior, will help us turn away from our sinful nature. And by becoming Christ-like in our behavior, our minds will be trained and safeguarded from unwanted intruders. Amen. Romans 8:2 says, “For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.” Amen.

Prayer:
1. Thank you, Jesus, my Lord, and savior for all things.
2. My father, send the Holy Spirit the Helper to raise your standard against the flood of satanic attacks targeted at me and my household in Jesus’ name.
3. Romans 6:14, I pray that sin shall not be your master because you are not under the law, but under grace.
