Emmanuel: Experiencing God in Everyday Life!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

In the busy and chaotic lives, it is easy to forget about God’s divine presence. Emmanuel, or “God with us,” serves as a reminder that God is present in our everyday lives, having a tremendous impact on how we live and act. The phrase “Emmanuel” has been around since ancient times. It is derived from the Hebrew word Immanuel, which means “God with us.” This phrase was used to describe how God had come down to earth to be with mankind in His incarnation of Jesus Christ. The promise of Emmanuel means that no matter what happens in life, God will always be there for us if we turn to Him in prayer and faith.

Today, this belief still holds true as believers look for tangible ways to experience God’s presence every day. Hebrews 9:24 says, “For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.” In other words, when we allow Christ to dwell in us, God is always present and never absent. Therefore, be reassured that God is with you in all struggles and pain; be reassured that he will not leave you nor forsake you; be reassured that “he who dwells in the secret place of the highest God shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

“For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

There is abundant grace through Christ! God is our haven for those who trust in him; He is a stronghold for the needy in distress. The Grace of God through Christ has given us the ability to live fully in his presence to help you from start to finish. Therefore, God has decided to stick with you forever; people might think you don’t deserve it because they see you as someone who doesn’t deserve it, but It’s just what it is- Grace!”

The necessity of God’s presence in our lives is not only for our own sake but also for others and personal salvation. You need to continually recognize and acknowledge the presence of God to appropriately respond to Him, knowing that He is always with you regardless of what you’ve done, where you’ve been, or who you are. Remember, He’s there when you need him most, and He will be there when you need him because he knows your needs, and his presence is with you always. In Exodus 33:14, And God said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Prayer:
Thank Jesus for this wonderful gift of grace in my life.
I pray that the Lord’s grace sees you through whatever life throws your way. From the daily struggles and tribulations to the major joys and successes. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
