Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
In the soil of faith, seeds of change are planted, blossoming into a transformation garden. One of the most captivating stories that exemplifies Jesus’ healing touch is found in the Gospel of Mark. It tells of a woman who had been suffering from an issue of blood for twelve years. At that time, she had spent all her money on physicians without finding relief. But when she heard about Jesus, she knew in her heart that if she could just touch His robe, she would be healed.
Filled with faith and hope, the woman made her way through the crowd, pressing closer to Jesus. Finally, she managed to touch the hem of His garment, and immediately her bleeding stopped. Jesus, sensing power leaving Him, turned and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” Trembling with fear and gratitude, the woman approached Him and confessed what she had done. Moved by her faith, Jesus said, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction.”
Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith, it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
This story demonstrates the incredible power that emanated from Jesus’ touch. Beyond physical healing, touching Jesus with faith brought emotional restoration and spiritual peace. Her faith is the spark that ignites transformation, which also reveals Christ’s divine authority over sickness and suffering, inviting us to approach Him with faith and trust.
Brethren, steadfast faith in God’s plan for our lives brings transformation. We must firmly believe He has equipped us with the tools and abilities necessary to accomplish great things. By embracing our faith, we tap into a limitless source of strength and resilience, enabling us to overcome obstacles and push beyond our comfort zones. When we trust in God’s guidance, we gain the confidence to pursue our dreams with unwavering determination. Amen. Matthew 21:22 says, “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” Amen.
