Faithful Reflections with Praise: A 2022 Recap!

“If the LORD had not been on our side–let Israel now declare—” Psalm 124:1

As we reflect on the year 2022, it is important to praise God for all He has done. This year is full of moments that challenged us and tested our faith, but with God’s grace and guidance, we could get to where we are today. Psalm 124 reminds us, “If the Lord had not been on our side—let Israel now say—if the Lord had not been on our side when people attacked us…” We can reflect upon this poignant reminder as we review what happened in 2022.

In past years, we saw many victories and triumphs that came from hard work and dedication – things that would have been impossible without God’s glory and power. We also learned valuable lessons about relying on Him during difficult times. For example, when 2020 threw a curveball at us in ways, we never expected. The Coronavirus pandemic changed our lives and forced us to adjust quickly to new routines and regulations. As a result, 2021 was filled with challenges, heartache, and hope that things may one day be normal again. As we look back on the past year, it is time to praise God for all He has done for us.

Psalm 107:43 says, “Whoever is wise will observe these things, and they will understand the loving-kindness of the LORD.”

When I remembered Psalm 94:17, which says, “Unless the LORD had been my helper, I would soon have dwelt in the abode of silence.” Beloved, I am thankful for God’s steadfast love and faithfulness, who has given me the strength and courage to do exceedingly and abundantly beyond the limits of my understanding. The wisdom and grace that I have gained from knowing God are immeasurable. I know I will never be able to repay Him with anything more than the praise of my lip, the dance, and the testimony I share.

It’s okay to ask God for more, but don’t let it stop you from giving thanks. Give great praise to the LORD and God’s daily benefit and outpouring of love over your life. You have a reason to give thanks unto the Lord from day to day because he is good, and his mercy endures forever. Do not let your circumstance exhaust you from praising God the Redeemer. 1Chronicle 16:34 says, “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loving-kindness, endures forever.”

Prayer:
1. Give thanks to the Lord. Then, play your favorite Gospel music to the tune of ‘ worship.’
2. Jeremiah 33:11- May the sound of Joy and gladness never depart from your home in Jesus’ name. Amen.
