Go Tell it on The Mountain!
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us, a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
As Christmas approaches, the celebration of Jesus’ birth is being shared across mountains and valleys. This year, let us proclaim His birth more loudly than ever before! We can do this by going out into the world as messengers of His love and joy. We have been given a great gift in Jesus Christ, and we must tell it on the mountain that He has come! Let us not be silent about the wonderful news but spread it far and wide. As we share this message with others, they too will experience hope and peace as they celebrate Jesus’ entrance into our world.
The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin named Mary. This was a miraculous event, prophesied by the prophet Isaiah over 700 years before Jesus was born (Isaiah 9:6). For Jesus to be born, God Himself had to come down and take human form. Jesus’ birth was thus the beginning of the most amazing journey – a journey that would ultimately lead to His death on the cross and resurrection. As Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the angels proclaimed, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests” (Luke 2:14). This is still true today – Jesus is the greatest thing behind Christmas!
Ephesians 2:14 says, “For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility.”
So this Christmas season, let us reflect on all that Jesus has done for humanity by proclaiming his birth from mountaintops worldwide! Let us bring more light into our communities by proclaiming, “Christ is born! If the birth of Jesus Christ brings you joy, happiness, peace, and abundant life, then Proclaim Jesus’ Birth Across Mountains because it is a time for families to come together and share this momentous occasion. For those who are passionate about proclaiming the news of Jesus’ birth across mountains and valleys, there is no better way to spread the good news than by using your voice.
From singing religious songs out loud or preaching his word from door to door, whatever way you choose to proclaim His birth brings honor to Him. Even if it’s just a simple conversation with someone who may not know about Jesus or his teachings, that can be enough to spark a spiritual awakening within them. No matter your chosen medium, you can use it as an opportunity to spread God’s love throughout the world. Even for those who don’t believe in the power of Jesus, there is a sense of peace that comes with the holiday season when they participate. Therefore, Go tells it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born because knowing him will bring hope to people worldwide. Amen. 1 John 3:3 says, “Everyone who has this hope in Christ keeps himself pure, just as Christ is pure.”
Prayer:
Oh Lord, give me the courage to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ
Merry Christmas! Amen
