“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” James 1:17
In the book of James, chapter 1:17, we find an incredible truth that greatly encourages our hearts. It tells us that every good gift and perfect gift comes directly from above, from the loving Father of lights. Nothing in this world can compare to the amazing blessings He bestows upon us. When we take a moment to reflect on this verse, it reminds us that God’s goodness knows no bounds. His gifts are not temporary or fleeting but are everlasting and perfect.
Every single blessing we receive ultimately comes from Him, reminding us of His generous nature and unfailing love for His children. Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
Let this truth penetrate your heart today as you face different challenges or circumstances. Remember that every good thing you have received or will receive in the future directly results from God’s love towards you. Trust in His faithfulness, knowing that He will continue to pour out His blessings upon your life without variation or shadow. So when you find yourself feeling discouraged or uncertain about what lies ahead, remember James 1:17. Meditate on these words and let them bring comfort to your soul.

Daniel 2:22 says, “God reveals the deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him.” Amen.
