If You Continue, the Joy Await!
“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in the due season, we shall reap if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9
Social media have made it seem that success and wealth can be gotten instantly, which has encouraged greed. We now have different get-rich-quick schemes, Ponzi schemes, and an increase in the crime rate. The truth is that there is no quick success anywhere. The great people we see now all began from somewhere.
Bill gate started from some small beginnings, and he was able to make a name for himself with his work ethic. We have read about great investors that have bought start-ups that have turned great now. Steve Jobs put in the work and had patience while at it because he knew he was heading somewhere. He didn’t just want to build a company, but he built something that he believed in with patience. He built a product that would change the world and made it better than before.
Proverbs 14:29 says, “Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.”
The joy of winning comes to those who are willing to do what is necessary. They are willing to prepare for the joy that awaits them without weariness of their own doing. However, we have seen many people given up easily and later regret their decision. This situation has happened to many people and will still happen. We need to learn that nothing good comes easy. We have to put in the work and make it great.
When success comes, the story becomes interesting. Do not settle too fast or give up too early. You are almost there, just a little more push. Don’t give up on that marriage, business, family, or ministry you’ve been working towards because there is joy awaiting you. And to experience this joy, you must be willing to learn to wait. The joy awaits you. I am sure of it. Ecclesiastes 7:8 says, “The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.”
1. Dear God, please give me the grace to be patient and wait through my making stage.
2. As you sow the seed of hope of your dream with patience, may you reap the bountiful harvest of joy in Jesus’ name. Amen.
