“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God.” 2 Corinthians 3:5
Amid life’s challenges, it is easy to find ourselves trapped in a cycle of blame. However, as you embark on your journey toward success, it’s important to remember the invaluable gift of life that your parents have bestowed upon you. By choosing not to abort you, they fulfilled their God-given role in bringing you into this world. Now, it is up to you to embrace this opportunity and make the most of it. Don’t let your past dictate your future; instead, take control and shape your destiny.
Blaming our circumstances or upbringing may seem like an easy way out, but true success lies in taking responsibility for our actions and choices. It’s time to break free from the chains of blame and seize the reins of your life. You possess within yourself the power to overcome any obstacles that come your way. Remember that each day is a new chance for growth and progress. Your past does not define who you are or what you can become. Therefore, cast off the chains of blame that weigh you down and grasp the reins of your destiny, like a ship leaving behind the safe harbor and embarking on a thrilling voyage towards purpose and fulfillment.
Judges 11:1 says, “Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor; he was the son of a prostitute, and Gilead was his father.”
Don’t attribute your struggles to external circumstances or even the actions of others; remember, failing to take responsibility for our own life is a choice. But there is hope! Because in our quest for personal liberation from the oppressive shackles of guilt and finger-pointing, it is important that we adopt a transformative mindset. By transcending the blame game, one can seize control over their destiny and initiate a profound transformation. Let’s draw inspiration from the story of Jephthah, whose matrilineal origins were marred by his mother’s occupation as a prostitute.
Despite Jephthah’s questionable lineage and societal prejudices stacked against him, Jephthah did not allow himself to be defined by his past. Instead, he took hold of his destiny and became one of Israel’s mighty judges (Judges 11:2). Jephthah is a powerful reminder that our backgrounds do not have to dictate our future success or happiness. Therefore, I encourage you to release yourself from the bondage of blame and firmly grip the reins of your salvation, just as faithful disciple embraces their faith and walks confidently toward the divine calling that awaits them. Amen. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.” Amen.

Ephesians 3:16 -I ask that out of the riches of God’s glory, He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being. Amen.
