“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge.” 2 Peter 1:5
A high intelligence quotient (IQ) is an enviable trait and can lead to increased success. Improving one’s IQ is like planting a seed in rich soil and providing it with plenty of water and sun for growth. With the right resources, anyone can increase their IQ through targeted activities that boost smart thinking skills. The most effective way to increase your IQ involves challenging yourself with new activities. For example, reading books on a variety of topics will not only help expand your knowledge base but also assist you in sharpening your analytical skills. In addition, talking about complex issues with friends or family allows you to engage in meaningful conversation while exercising the brain’s cognitive abilities.
IQ helps you to think more deeply and make better decisions that lead to greater long-term success. Whether the intelligence quotient (IQ) is connected to God’s plan has been a topic of conversation for centuries. IQ is often thought to be one of the main indicators determining a person’s potential and ability in life. But looking deeper, it seems that the relationship between IQ and God’s plan can become intertwined if we look to strengthen wisdom and intelligence.
Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.”
God gave us all different talents, skills, knowledge, and abilities that help us on our life journey; some are born with greater insight than others. To understand how this ties into God’s plan, we must consider physical components, such as IQ, and spiritual elements, including faith-based beliefs. By understanding this combination, we can see how each contributes to helping us reach our full potential according to God’s vision for our lives.
While faith and dedication to your beliefs are essential for spiritual fulfillment, it is important to remember that having a strong mind—and the wisdom and intelligence that comes with it—is equally vital. In 2 Peter 1:5, Paul encourages believers to “make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge.” In other words, strengthening our mental capabilities can help us fulfill our obligations as followers of Christ. However, faith alone will not help us reach our goals—we must use the wits God has blessed us with to overcome any challenges we may face while trying to serve his purpose. Proverbs 24:14 says, “Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off.” Amen.
Prayer:
1. Holy Ghost, empower me to prosper with your wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
2. Heavenly Father, help me destroy every evil power harvesting my intelligence in Jesus’ name. Amen.
