Living with Gratitude is Never a Mistake! Part Two

“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24

May our praises rise, like sweet perfume, as we bask in His love that never consumes. Luke 17:11-19 enlighten us about life living with gratitude when Jesus encounters ten lepers who ask him to heal them. After Jesus does so, only one of them returns to give thanks. From verse 17, “And Jesus said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said to him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith has made thee whole.” In Other words, the breakthrough we receive or see at times might not be sealed with God’s glory until we return to God with thanksgiving.

The breakthrough we receive in our career, business, or relationship, even seeing a new day (psalm 118:24), is waiting for God to make it permanent with thanksgiving. When we practice gratitude regularly, we prophesize with the assurance of faith – one filled with positivity and hope. Gratitude also helps us connect more deeply with others. When we express gratitude towards someone else, it strengthens our relationships and fosters a sense of community. Gratitude is an important virtue in the Christian faith, and there are many biblical examples of people expressing thankfulness to God.

Colossians 3:15 says, “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.”

In the book of Psalms, King David expresses his gratitude for all God has done for him. In Psalm 103:2-5, David writes, “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” David sees Gratitude as creating a richness in life that nothing else can, so live each day with gratefulness in your heart.

Gratitude is a powerful emotion that has the ability to transform our lives in ways we never thought possible. As Psalm 103:2 states, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” Gratitude opens doors and windows for greater things to come into our lives, as it allows us to appreciate what we already have instead of focusing on what we lack. Living each day with gratefulness in your heart profoundly impacts our well-being. It fills life with joy and creates a richness that nothing else can match. Amen. Psalm 136:1 says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.” Amen.

Prayer:
1. Now may the Lord show steadfast love and faithfulness to you as you praise him with your heart in Jesus’ name. Amen.
2. Every breakthrough you have received shall be permanent in Jesus’ name.
