Overcoming Daily Struggles!
“My defense is of God, who saves the upright in heart.” Psalm 7:10
While I was at college in my last year, my younger brother was in his fourth year in high school. I came home for a holiday during the off-season. While I was at home, my brother walks into the house with frustration and anger. After showing him care and support, I asked him what was wrong. He told me about his struggles in his project, and he admitted my strength for help.
After our discussion, I helped him overcame that academic struggle, and he was happy. You see, life is not usually a bed of roses. There are ups and downs we must encounter, like my younger brother did face. Nevertheless, we must not be afraid of the challenges that come our way. It’s important to remember who we are in Christ Jesus.
Isaiah 43:2 says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
You may be wondering or asking what am I to do to overcome my daily struggle? The answer to your heart concern is to tell God about your daily struggles; acknowledge or confess the strength of God in you through Christ Jesus. What it simply means is that you are taking your eyes away from the problem and trusting God to overcome it.
This truth is the long-aged principle for overcoming hard times and darkness. You can also overcome this by applying similar truth into your life and daily struggle. Look away from your problems and focus on Jesus. Hebrews 12:2 says, “looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
1. Lord, I come before your throne seeking help and grace in time of need!
2. Psalm 97:11; Oh Lord, let your light shine upon me, and your gladness rests upon my heart in Jesus’ name. Amen.
